ProtevMed was founded in 2007 to address the unique Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) challenges that face many organizations today.  Healthcare providers are finding that their IT departments must do more with less.  As a result, many hospitals, ambulatory care centers, hospices, and physicians’ offices are turning to hosted applications as a solution for cutting costs while meeting their HIT needs.   ProtevMed founder, Bill White, realized that this shift towards hosted applications presented many new challenges to both the healthcare organizations and their hosted applications providers.  These organizations needed both a consultant and an advocate to help them manage and oversee their ASP selection and software implementation processes.

Since its inception, ProtevMed has expanded its management and oversight services to include Electronic Health Records (EHR).
